The Wiki Staff of Maya and the Three Wiki are experienced and dedicated users who have some additional rights for better management of the wiki. They include Bureaucrats, Administrators, Moderators, Chat Moderators and Rollback.
It is important to remember that the Wiki Staff are not the leaders or the most important users here, and their added rights are only for the fulfillment of their duties.
BUREAUCRATS[]
About bureaucrats[]
Bureaucrats are the highest tier of Maya and the Three Wiki users, with the additional ability of being able to change user rights. On Maya and the Three Wiki, all bureaucrats are also administrators.
Additional abilities[]
- The ability to grant and revoke rollback rights
- The ability to grant and revoke administrator status
- The ability to grant, but not revoke bureaucrat status
Bureaucrat tasks[]
Bureaucrats oversee and supervise all requests for user rights, and carry out the community's decision in the case of nominations for administratorship or nominations for bureaucratship.
Bureaucrats also must at their discretion accept or decline user requests for rollback. This is done according to their judgment. However, the wider community can also have input into this decision by asking the requesting user questions about whether they need and deserve rollback.
Becoming a bureaucrat[]
A user with administrator rights can apply to the staff (current administrators and bureaucrats) for bureaucrat rights. The staff will undertake a voting procedure involving the members of the community at nominations for bureaucratship.

ADMINISTRATORS[]
About administrators[]
Administrators are experienced and trusted members of the Maya and the Three Wiki community who have access to restricted technical features ("tools") which help with maintenance. They are also useful as moderators in community discussion and interaction.
Those seeking help can turn to an administrator for advice and information. However, administrators are not a smaller, "more powerful" subset of users, and content and policy decisions are the responsibility of the entire community.
Additional abilities[]
- Delete pages, page histories, files etc.
- Rename files (these are mainly images and videos).
- Lock (protect) a page so it cannot be edited or renamed by users without administrator rights.
- Block an IP address or user name from editing.
- Revert bad edits more easily using a "rollback" link.
- Edit the MediaWiki namespace to make changes to the interface.
Administrator tasks[]
As part of adminship, administrators are expected to use their abilities where it is considered necessary.
Administrator conduct[]
Administrators have been entrusted with the means to maintain the overall quality of the site. With this in mind:
- Administrators have no right to authority over the content and policies of the wiki. The administrators' authority is as large as the community would like it to be.
- Administrators are, however, responsible for addressing disruption on the wiki by other users, including breaches of civility.
- Administrators do not own the site. They cannot shut out the opinions of others.
- Abuse of administrator privileges may result in the removal of user rights after community discussion.
Inactivity[]
Administrators should remain active to assist the wiki, having been entrusted with additional user rights by its community.
- An active status is defined as:
- Continuing substantial contributions, defined as edits that do not include modifying user space pages, or correcting spelling/grammar/formatting.
- A steady flow of such contributions, defined as editing on most days each month.
- Reasonable speed in replying to messages on their wall, defined as replying before the poster of the message is forced to make an alternative consultation.
- If an administrator continues to be inactive for a prolonged period of time, removal of user rights will be considered by an active bureaucrat based on the non-fulfillment of the activity guidelines further above. Where removal may be contentious, an active bureaucrat should also consult other community members.
Becoming an administrator[]
The number of administrators will be limited to two as of now, since the wiki is small. However, when a position is open, users who have distinguished themselves over a period of time may be nominated for administratorship.
