The Gods are powerful beings tasked with taking care of the natural world and moderating the humans' interaction with it. They are capable of performing magic and are very strong warriors. Some gods allied themselves with Lord Mictlan, trying to capture Maya to bring to him to sacrifice, or, if they were brave enough, sacrifice her themself.Others allied with Maya, seeing the truth in her cause. Many gods also remained unaffiliated.
